George works as an IT Advisor at inCITES Consulting and has more than 15 years of experience working with IT companies both in S/W Engineering and R&D Department management positions.

George is a Software Engineer and Computer Science Researcher, graduate of the Department of Physics at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, holding an M.Sc. in Computer Science. He has worked for the private sector, as software designer/architect, project manager, R&D director and lately as Chief Technology Officer, as well as for the public sector as s/w engineer, senior consultant, and researcher. He has extensive experience in the design, development and delivery of integrated information systems, covering various sectors: Finance, eGovernment, Human Resource Management, Data Management and Analysis, Knowledge Management etc. During the last 15 years he has participated in a series of distinguished national and international RTD Projects, where, apart from being a key researcher, he has managed substantial part of projects’ work plans. Projects include ESA/NASA Hubble Space Telescope’s Catalogue of Variables, EarthServer I & II, BlueBRIDGE, iMarine, D4Science I &II, DILIGENT, Wholodance, CAPSELLA, AgInfra+, EcoSys, M-Guide and several others. His research interests fall in the areas of data management, distributed processing, information retrieval, cloud computing, query/workflow optimisation and interoperability. He has published a number of peer reviewed articles in IT journals and conferences.
