Dr. Ioannis NEOKOSMIDIS
Ioannis is the CEO of INCITES Consulting SARL. He holds a Physics degree, a M.Sc. in Radioelectrology and Electronics and Ph.D diploma in optical nonlinear networks from the University of Athens. Ioannis has more than 10 years of experience working with operators, regulators and enterprises across Europe. His primary areas of specialisation include consulting on investment and strategy decision making in the telecoms sector.
He has considerable expertise in the areas of next-generation access networks (NGAN) and both fixed and mobile termination rates having participated in respective projects assigned by the Greek NRA. Ioannis has also worked on business planning and market assessment projects.
Before joining INCITES Consulting SARL, Ioannis was a senior member of the Optical Communications and Broadband Access (OCBA) laboratory of the University of Athens where he participated in numerous European R&D projects. His other previous experience includes lecturing as Adjunct Lecturer at the University of Athens, the Harokopio University of Athens and the University of Hertfordshire (IST College).
He has more than 40 publications with two best paper awards and more than 250 citations. His research interests include System of Systems, Deep Uncertainties, Advanced forecasting techniques and Technoeconomics. He serves as reviewer in leading IEEE/OSA Journals and conferences. He is a biographee in several lists (Marquis and Hübners Blaues Who’s Who).
Dr. Theodoros ROKKAS
Theodoros is the CTO of INCITES Consulting SARL. He has been working in the telecom sector for more than ten years with operators, vendors, regulators, public and government authorities. He was a member of the Optical Communications and Broadband Access laboratory in the department of Informatics and Telecommunications at University of Athens since 2000.
He has participated in several European projects in the range of techno-economic analysis, business developing, cost reduction, government policy development, next-generation fixed and wireless access networks, network planning and regulatory. Some representative examples include evaluation of NGN business cases, evaluation of fixed mobile convergence, development of models for the calculation of cost for fixed and mobile networks, bottom up modeling, long run incremental modeling. In the previous three years he has been a senior consultant and developed models for the Greek Telecom regulator (EETT) for both the fixed and mobile termination regulated rates and also the cost model for the NGA network.
Theodoros Rokkas holds a B.Sc. degree in Physics, a M.Sc. degree in Electronics and Radio-Communications and a Ph.D. degree on “Techno-Economic evaluation of Next Generation Networks” all from the University of Athens (Greece).
He has more than 15 publications in Journals, conferences and 2 book chapters.
Mr. Dimitris XYDIAS, CFA
Dimitris works as a Consultant at inCITES Consulting SARL where he performs technoeconomic analysis, business modelling and other qualitative and quantitative research for the ICT sector. Before joining Incites, Dimitris spent 2 years at Ovum as a Senior Forecaster where he was managing various market sizing forecast projects for the Telecoms, Media and Technology sectors including mobile and fixed connectivity which helped telecom operators, regulators and other vendors understand the market dynamics of the industry through data and forecasts. At Ovum, Dimitris was also performing financial analysis and writing research reports for the largest telecom operators globally, which helped banks, telecom operators and vendors understand the financial health of these organisations. Before joining Ovum, Dimitris spent 2 years at GfK as a Research Analyst for the Handsets practice. At GfK, Dimitris was creating and presenting biweekly investment reports for the Handset manufacturers which helped asset managers make informed investment decisions. His role also involved regular briefings with clients and research on hot topics within the Handsets industry, focusing on key market trends and developments. As far as academia is concerned, Dimitris has been awarded the MSc in Investment Management from Cass Business School and the BSc in Banking and Financial Management from the University of Piraeus. Dimitris has also passed all 3 levels of the CFA program exams at the first attempt.
Mr. George KAKALETRIS
George is a Senior Software Engineer, holding a degree in Physics and an MSc on Informatics, both obtained by National and Kapodistrian University of Athens. His professional experience spans several years of employment by Greek IT companies both in S/W Engineering and R&D Department directorship/management positions. He has been a task / work package / project leader in several research and development projects and studies. He has served as an ICT consultant for the Greek Parliament and several other public authorities. Recently, he was also a NKUA permanent staff, under the role of ICT consultant of the vice-rector of Finances and Development. Currently, he is working with CITE as a Chief Technical Officer.
Dr. Dimitris KATSIANIS
Dimitris received the Informatics degree, the M.Sc. in Signal Processing and Computational Systems and the PhD diploma in network design with technoeconomics aspects from the University of Athens, Dept. of Informatics and Telecommunications. He is a senior research fellow with the Optical Communications Group, participating in several European and national R&D projects. He has worked as an expert scientific advisor with several firms in the field of technoeconomic & network design including national activities for technoeconomic evaluation of telecommunication strategies and regulation policies. He has more than 60 publications in journals and conferences in the field of technoeconomics and telecommunication network design.
