Assessing an FTTx network investment

An international investor wanted to invest €400 mil in a consortium of network operators and equipment vendors that aimed to form a joint venture and deploy FTTx in a European market. inCITES was asked to analyse the potential of this investment as an impartial third party.

inCITES conducted a feasibility study to assess the potential of the proposed investment, which included an identification of the roles of the consortium’s actors and a range of stake ownership scenarios on which the investment would be profitable.

inCITES’ report was used by both the international investor and consortium as a benchmark for their negotiations.
