Optimizing the Costing System

One of the largest network operators globally planned to migrate from its legacy costing models to a new unified cost management IT solution. inCITES Consulting was asked to review and analyse the operator’s legacy and new cost models and help facilitate a smooth migration to the new system.

Working side by side with the network operator’s experts, inCITES developed a quantitative model for customer segmentation and profitability analysis that was used in the new cost management system. inCITES also analysed the individual contribution of each legacy system, proposed improvements and modifications to the new system and tested and validated the robustness of the new solution.

Established within a short period of time, this analysis helped the network operator maximise the efficiency of the new system that met complied to all the necessary regulatory requirements, while retaining the best properties of its legacy systems.
